Progression With Unit: 8 Design Principals

This page on my blogger is to show the development of my design and how the design/appearance has come together during the process. Along with this I have added some initial character design to show development.

The clasp to keep the bind folder together was created by using a clothing clasp. The band is meant to represent a hare's tail, super glue was used which really upped the quality of how it held together overall I am happy with the outcome however it could be a little more accessible as it is for children.
However a small bobble will/could be added to give my book a moor of a child like feel.

Covering the book inside and out was a hard task however, I gave the sense the book may contain a story (my pop up book) Then book itself will be held in side this container to ensure its safe and children will have a adventure to get into the book. Considering the target audience.

The Page was covered using flour and water.. This gave the page a nice feel to it. The paper was from an old book so the page's had a natural tiny to them however using a slight tea stain gave the pages again a much more traditional style.

Glue which was used is shown above. Super glue was a better solution to stick the card to the card. It gave a much better feel and a more solid stick to them. I would recommend using this for projects as it dry's really fast and allows you to pretty much stick anything to anything.
