C02/Green Wash

What Is Green Washing?

From my understanding green washing is when I company use's a some form of false advertising, as a company they will trade mark a specific type of pollution such as the honda advert using flying motor vehicles .

This is a typical motor vehicle advert, as you can see the motor is flying through the air letting off emissions, being attracted by various animals and objects when its changes to a clean engine however still imitating white smoke. The words Clean are plastered all around the video.

This photo is a typical advert from a car company i this case 'Hummer.' The slogan is 'Thirsty for adventure Not gas'. The car  does 11MPG which is a insane quote  to be labeled with 'Not Gas'

C02 Emissions.
Carbon Dioxide the chemical formula is C02 its a natural occurring chemical compound, composed of two oxygen atoms bounded to a single carbon atom. CO2 Is a gas and at standard temperature and exsits in earths atmosphere in the state.

C02 Is the chief greenhouse gas that results from human activities and causes global warming and climate change.

Campaigner's

Government is now a campaign to slash C02 emissions in half. This follows the worlds media, broadcasting that the melting of the greenland ice sheet which has melted and created a new island of its coast, a major  new campaign has been started by the government, this has been started so that people should cut there personal C02 emissions, this has been backed by Prime Minister (Tony Blair) at the time, and the environment secretary David Millband.

We are all directly affected by C02 Global warming as the planet is getting warmer causing ice to melt and animals homes wrecked, destroying there habitat, with rising levels of C02 the planet is great danger.
So we all are affected in different ways however i think that the raising sea level and animals home's/habitat are the ones directly affected

Here I have found a very interesting, image which includes  were our human C02 emissions are emulating from.
As you can se 91% is from fossil fuels and cement, and the other 9% from land use change burning or cutting down tree's and habitats.

Rather then looking at one majourthing to be able to change lets say rising water levels, this is not possible as every one person can not change the singular level of water however, we can turn lights off, saving you money and helping the environment

Define the first the first person, who does it affect first?
Who is affected indirectly

1 Target Audience

A useful, article which I have found is from the guardian.co.uk expressing that one change can help: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/may/10/lifestyle-change-environmental-impact

"Ditching the car for a year could save around three tonnes of CO2 per year, on average"

The Energy saving's trust  believe that everyone can and should make more then one lifestyle change, to help lower our carbon footprint

Paper, students. How students use to much paper which
